                         Snack time is something we all look forward everyday, those small small hunger and our eyes and heart longing to eat those snacks everyday, hiding our mouth watering in office or school or in college. I have come up with different varieties  of Bajji. Bajji is definitely on thing in our life which can never replace with anything else. We have come across bajji everyday. Tea kadai is always remembered with bajji and bonda that too those oil that we filter with paper is something we always intent to do.  Bajji are generally done with banana (Vazhakkai, Aratikaya, Balekai ) potato, mirchi or green chilli at times with onion also. There is separate green chilli called bajji chilli. Bajji is undoubted best combination of tea time snacks served with tea and coconut chutney.



Bajji is said to be originated from Indian Subcontinent. Bajjji is very much famous spicy snacks in tamilnadu, kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, karanataka, Assam, West Bengal, Odisha. It is always found in all street shops, right from small poti kadai in streets to big stalls in malls. Bajjis are always misunderstood with pokodas. Bajji, bonda, pakodas are  different recipes and dishes

Our south Indian cusine are always diverse with numerous flavourful dishes. If you are fond of south Indian dishes and food and if you are a foodie you can never miss out this recipe. There is nothing quite like enjoying thee joy of munching on crispy, spicy, chessy and flacourful treats and if these dishes are home made, what else  better can be there.

 With just limited ingredients we have come up with homemade 4 different varities of bajjis for doing during free time, it doesn’t take much time, so you can make when ever you want.. Get your bajji flour from shop now it all ready made , add water to it and bring to the consistency required that it , your bajji flour is ready, it is not so difficult like your dosa flour consistency, this also should be made, don’t add too much water.

Now first recipe is panner . cut the panner to the rectangle shape now dip panner in to it and fry it in oil, within 5 minutes you have your hot and tastely panner bhaji ready, Panner bajji is so soft and smoothy. Just keeping bhaji in mouth it is automatically entering into the stomach. It is so good and yummy taste.

    now the next one is palapalam or jackfruit, cut into slice and add to flour and then to oil that’s it your sweet and spicy palapalam bhaji is ready, palapalam bhaji taste will be 50-50 it will be sweet as well as spicy. The outer layer will be spicy while the inner layer will be sweet.  It is a different experience  to taste both at same time that too in snacks time bhaji. While imaging itself I feel like eating and my tongue are watering.😋

    how can we forget bread which is main ingredient for many dishes, and it was my school time memory during tea time one uncle used to come with bread bhaji always but it will not be hot (. Now cut to the shape you want, I have cut into small small triangles and add it to the hot boiling oil.

That’s it with in 15 minutes all your bhajis are ready. Now you can serve with chutney or eat as it is because each one has its own flavour which cannot be beaten with other.
